SALT & SAND

Anthony Ponzo's work Salt and Sand is a collection of photographic works featuring a series of aerial shots taken from fixed-wing aircraft in Geraldton & Shark Bay Western Australia and Lake Tekapo New Zealand.

Salt and Sand is a collection of photographic work by Sydney photographer Anthony Ponzo and features a series of aerial
works shot from privately chartered fixed-wing aircraft in Geralton and Shark Bay Western Australia and Lake Tekapo
New Zealand.
The exhibition is being held as part of the Head On Photo Festival 2018. In its 9th year, it is regarded as the country's
largest photographic festival and the second largest in the world.
The aerial images are abstract in nature and challenge the viewer’s perception of reality.

Capturing mother nature at her most impressively surreal self, ranging from the vascular lakes winding their way through Lake Tekapo in NewZealand’s South Island to the contrasting starkness of the salt lakes of Geraldton and Shark Bay in far Western Australia.
The collection invokes a different kind of visual literacy in the viewer and reminds us just how beautiful this planet we
call home truly is.
