Radio Interview with David Manley & Tania Browitt @2SER
Using photography as the primary domain and conduit for the investigation and incorporating architecture as a visual reference-point, my research interrogates the affective imprint and anxiety of the image through the production of models, dioramas, video installation, and sculpture.
This exhibition visualizes a series of speculative psychological trauma-scapes linked both to historical and contemporary events and also includes examples of an image-based series that I will refer to here as ‘decelerative architectural studies’ that are intended to act in opposition to the accelerative speed of modernity.
